What's my Identity?
What's my Identity?
Purpose:
Once you understand who God is, the next step is understanding yourself in relation to Him.
Big Idea:
Identity is not defined by culture, career, or religion, but by Kingdom citizenship.
Showing you that mankind was created in God’s image and entrusted with rulership.
We will reframe identity as purpose-driven, not performance-driven.
Big Idea: Our true identity comes from God — and it’s revealed through Jesus Christ.
Key Point: Identity is not earned, it’s received through Sonship, and from Sonship flows all else.
Structure of Identity:
Sons – We belong to Him as children; heirs of the Kingdom (Romans 8:14–17).
Citizens – With Sonship comes the rights and responsibilities of Kingdom citizenship (Philippians 3:20).
Ambassadors – As representatives, we carry His authority and mission into the world (2 Corinthians 5:20).
Royal Priests – We are chosen to both rule and minister, bridging heaven and earth (1 Peter 2:9, Revelation 5:10).
Closing Thought: “Identity in Christ is layered. We are sons first, then citizens, ambassadors, and royal priests. Each builds on the other, shaping how we live out the Kingdom on earth.”
